The Team

Katie is the ‘M’ in MB Medical Solutions. She qualified as a nurse in 1999 and quickly found her passion for Emergency Medicine. As one of the first Emergency Nurse Practitioners she has always been a strong advocate for developing the skills of healthcare professionals and expanding the roles they take, with her latest project being the introduction of paramedics into Emergency Department roles. As Matron of an Emergency Department she was part of a team who achieved an ‘Outstanding’ result from the Care Quality Commission, and is now taking her experiences into other hospitals during supportive visits and CQC inspections.

Where Katie is the ‘M’, Kate is the ‘B”. Having studied medicine in London, qualifying in 2002, she then followed a “portfolio” medical career in the NHS including surgical, critical care and emergency medicine training before heading out to sea as a ship’s doctor. She worked on cruise ships all over the world before being appointed as Medical Director for Carnival UK (P&O Cruises and Cunard) in 2010. In that role, she was responsible for all aspects of Medical Operations, Public Health and Occupational Health. Kate now combines consulting in leadership, management and healthcare with an NHS role as Clinical Director of Unscheduled Care in Western Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.

Michèle began her administrative career as PA to the Directors of a Medical Electronics Company. Moving on to other roles throughout her career, most recently as the Content Operations Manager for an internationally renowned events business, she has consolidated her organisational and administrative skills. As a new recruit to the team, she oversees day to day administration for the business.
